From Wrath to Resurrection - Easter Sermon

Posted on April 5, 2026

On this powerful Easter message, we confront the heart of the gospel: why Jesus had to die, what He truly endured on the cross, and why His resurrection changes everything.

This sermon walks through the sobering reality that the cross was not merely a tragic event—it was a divine necessity. Jesus did not die as a victim of circumstance, but as the willing substitute, drinking the full cup of the Father’s wrath against sin. What humanity deserved, Christ absorbed. What justice demanded, He satisfied.

But the story does not end at the cross.

We examine the historical and factual reality of the resurrection, addressing common objections and false theories that attempt to explain away the empty tomb. From the transformation of the disciples to the inability of opposing authorities to produce a body, the evidence consistently points to one conclusion:

👉 Jesus truly rose from the dead.

And if that is true…

  • Then death has been defeated
  • Sin has been judged
  • Jesus is Lord
  • And neutrality is no longer an option

This message calls every listener to wrestle with the implications:

⚖️ If Christ bore the wrath… will you trust Him?
👑 If Christ is risen… will you submit to Him?
🔥 If the gospel is true… will you live like it is?

This is not just a story to admire—this is a truth that demands a response.
