Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the Pure in Heart
Matthew 5:8 declares, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” This verse reveals one of the most profound truths of the Christian life — that true purity is not merely external but internal, rooted in a heart wholly devoted to God. In this sermon, we explore how purity of heart is the result of God’s transforming grace, cleansing us from hypocrisy, selfish motives, and divided loyalties. To be pure in heart is to desire what God desires and to see the world through His eyes. Such purity brings the greatest of all blessings — the vision of God Himself. When our hearts are undivided and sincere, we begin to experience His presence more clearly now, and one day we will see Him face to face in eternal glory.
