Do Not Be Anxious | Matthew 6:25–34

Anxiety is one of the most common struggles people face today. Worry about provision, the future, health, family, and circumstances can quietly consume our thoughts and steal our peace. In Matthew 6:25–34, Jesus speaks directly into this struggle with words that are both comforting and challenging. Rather than offering shallow reassurance, Jesus calls His followers to a deeper trust rooted in the character and care of God.

In this expository message, we walk verse-by-verse through Jesus’ teaching in the Sermon on the Mount, discovering what biblical anxiety is, why it is spiritually dangerous, and how trust in God transforms our daily perspective. Jesus points to God’s faithful provision through creation, reminds us of our value to the Father, and calls believers to seek first the Kingdom of God instead of being consumed by fear about tomorrow.

This sermon explores:
• The difference between responsible concern and sinful anxiety
• How worry reveals misplaced trust
• God’s provision illustrated through nature
• The command to seek first the Kingdom of God
• Practical, daily steps to live in faith rather than fear

Whether you are battling persistent anxiety or simply want to grow deeper in trusting the Lord, this message provides biblical encouragement and practical application grounded in the words of Christ Himself.
